Mosaic Minerals Corporation has commenced the exploration campaign at its Mirabelli SM project, located in the James Bay region of Quebec. This project, comprising 345 cells over an area of almost 20 km2, is strategically located 15 km southeast of the township of Eastmain, accessible via the Eastmain Village provincial highway.
The objective of the exploration campaign
The one-week prospecting campaign aims to explore sectors not covered in June 2024 due to adverse weather conditions. This exploration is expected to identify new indications of minerals such as gold, silver, lithium and other base metals, given the favorable geological setting of the property, which includes major faults and contacts with volcanogenic horizons and tonalitic intrusives.
In addition to Mirabelli SM, Mosaic has also completed an airborne magnetic survey on its Pluton SM property, which extends 685 km and is located on the eastern extension of Patriot Battery Metals’ Shaakichiuwaanaan project. These efforts are part of the company’s strategy to discover and develop critical minerals in Quebec, a region with great geological potential yet to be explored.
Gilles Laverdière, Mosaic’s Vice President of Exploration, reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information for the project, highlighting the importance of these explorations under National Instrument 43-101. Results from this new campaign, along with those from June 2024, are expected in the coming weeks, which could provide key information for the future development of the property.
