DOF strengthens offshore presence with Atlantic bp contract

Subsea operations will commence in 2026 with specialized vessels deployed by DOF in support of bp's offshore activities.

Norway’s DOF Group ASA has secured a new agreement with bp to provide subsea services in the Atlantic region, consolidating its strategy in the offshore segment. This firm contract for three years, with the possibility of a two-year extension, represents a key piece in its medium-term project portfolio.

The agreement provides for the mobilization of specialized underwater intervention vessels to support bp operations, including construction, installation, repair and maintenance (IRM) to support bp operations, which include marine infrastructure construction, installation, repair and maintenance (IRM) activities. The offshore operations are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026.

Subsea contract with integrated approach

DOF will provide a comprehensive solution covering project management, subsea engineering, logistics and offshore execution, aligned with bp’s technical and safety requirements. This assignment consolidates the group’s expertise in demanding environments, especially in the North Sea and adjacent areas.

The award marks a significant step forward for DOF’s subsea division in the UK, strengthening its position against other players in the sector. Mons S. Aase, CEO of the group, has expressed confidence in the operational capability of its fleet and commitment to deliver sustained performance throughout the life of the agreement.
