The DOF ASA group has announced the signing of two long-term charter agreements with Petrobrasconsolidating its key role in subsea operations in Brazil.

The Skandi vessels Carla and Geoholm have been selected to operate as remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support vessels, with agreements to run for a period of four years from December 2025.

New contracts between DOF Group and Petrobras

Both contracts are part of the competitive bidding process that Petrobras has been carrying out and that previously included the Skandi Achiever. With these new awards, DOF further strengthens its relationship with the Brazilian state-owned oil company.

Skandi Carlaan 83.9-meter unit built in 2001, will be equipped with an underwater crane and a work-class ROV. For its part, the Geoholm, 85.7 meters long and built in 2006, will be equipped with two working class ROVs and a similar crane, allowing it to operate autonomously in complex offshore conditions.

The combined sum of the two contracts exceeds $275 million, underscoring the scale of Petrobras’ investment in specialized technical solutions for its subsea fields. These agreements represent a strategic breakthrough for DOF and reflect the growing demand for subsea operations in Brazilian deepwater.
