Features of the Thun Reliance R-class eco tanker
The Thun Reliance joins her sister ship, the Thun Resource, delivered in February this year, both designed with a length of 115 meters and a beam of 15 meters. This new tanker has an impressive cargo tank capacity of 9,540 m 3 .
Following its official delivery, the Thun Reliance will be integrated into the Gothia Tanker Alliance network and its technical management will be carried out by the MF Shipping Group, ensuring efficient and reliable operation. In terms of technical specifications, the R Class tankers represent an evolution of the previous E Class tankers recently delivered to Thun Tankers.
Although they share similar dimensions, the new ships have thirteen lined cargo tanks , which reinforces their functionality. Innovative elements such as adaptive propulsion to reduce energy consumption, a UPS battery system, an advanced hull design and efficient machinery are key to its new features.
Thun Tankers and its commitment to the maritime market
According to the Ferus Smit shipyard, the tankers are built to the highest design standards and often exceed current and future regulations. This positions Thun Tankers at the forefront in terms of innovation and sustainability in its fleet.
This project forms part of Thun Tankers’ ambitious fleet renewal programme, designed to anticipate and meet the growing demands of the maritime market. With this renovation, Thun Tankers seeks to improve energy efficiency and transportation capacity, and also strengthen its commitment to the environment , demonstrating its leadership in the maritime sector with sustainable initiatives.
