Coastal Bend LNG confirmed the integration of ConocoPhillips ‘ Optimized Cascade technology in its future natural gas liquefaction and export plant on the Texas Gulf Coast.

The plan also contemplates multiple liquefaction trains, cogeneration systems, LNG storage tanks storage tanks and export areas. The design will adopt the company’s latest operational and efficiency improvements, integrating specific measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
For its part, Coastal Bend LNG mentioned that this choice enhances its commitment to supplying supply of low-carbon low carbon footprint energy supply. CEO Nick Flores emphasized that ConocoPhillips’ experience and technology offer confidence in the plant’s ability to operate at high performance standards.
Meanwhile, ConocoPhillips highlighted that its Optimized Cascade system has been successfully implemented in multiple international LNG projects, consolidating its reputation in the sector. Darren Meznarich, LNG Technology and Licensing Manager, indicated that the adopted design combines efficiency and emissions reduction in a single operating scheme.
According to the project schedule, Coastal Bend LNG will file its preliminary application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) during 2025, registering progress to begin the construction phase in the near term.
