Coastal Bend LNG has announced the start-up of a 22.5 million tonne per year capacity LNG export facility located on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Large-scale LNG export infrastructure
This project contemplates the construction of up to five liquefaction trains of 4.5 Mtpa each, accompanied by cogeneration units, storage tanks, and a marine terminal for export operations. These elements seek to strengthen the plant as a strategic node in the supply of low-carbon energy.

In addition, the implementation of these systems will help the company access tax incentives such as 45Q credits in the United States.
According to Nick Flores, CEO of Coastal Bend LNG, the company is expected to file its preliminary permit application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ( FEC). Federal Energy Regulatory Commission(FERC) during 2025. This step is key to move towards the approval and execution of the project.
