The logistics group CMA CGM has consolidated its commitment to Africa with the opening of its first regional office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. This new headquarters not only symbolizes its historic commitment to the continent, but also responds to the need to offer logistics solutions in a region that is and complete logistics solutions in a region in the throes of economic growth.

CMA CGM consolidates its presence in West Africa

Located at a hub in West Africa, the office houses a team specialized in trade, tariff management, customer service and intermodal solutions. This structure optimizes decision-making and makes it possible to respond more quickly to local and international market needs.

The leadership of this site rests with Adeline Gabillaud, who has nearly three decades of experience in maritime transport and a deep understanding of the logistical challenges in Africa. Under her leadership, an expansion of services tailored to the characteristics of each national market is expected.

Transportation solutions that reach the last mile

CMA CGM’s logistics network encompasses the entire supply chain, from maritime operations to inland terminals to inland terminals and inland warehouses. Thanks to its intermodal services and the support of CEVA Logistics, the group guarantees efficient deliveries even in areas far from the main ports.

Key routes include EURAF, connecting Europe with West and Central Africa; MIDAS 1, linking African ports with Asia and the Middle East; and several Asia-Africa services with weekly frequency.

Logistics investment with a regional focus

CMA CGM maintains port operations at eight terminals across the continent, including key facilities in Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco and Abidjan itself. These investments allow for greater fluidity in the transit of goods and strengthen resilience to logistical disruptions.

Social commitment and humanitarian support

Through its foundation, the group promotes educational initiatives in partnership with local entities such as the Magic System Foundation. In parallel, it implements innovative solutions such as PharmaBox for the storage of medicines in crisis areas, a recent example of how its maritime expertise translates into tangible humanitarian impact.
