The shipment was made on February 3, 2026 aboard the vessel Maran Gas Chios, assigned to partner Shell, which sailed from Barrow Island bound for international markets in the Asia-Pacific.

This performance further consolidates Gorgon as a stable component of the regional energy system, by sustaining continuous flows of LNG to trading partners for trading partners and maintaining gas supplies for Western Australia’s homes and businesses.

Likewise, the operation reflects a decade of continuity since the first export in March 2016, with operating standards focused on safety, reliability and logistical efficiency.

On the other hand, Chevron mentioned that the achievement responds to the sustained activity of its workforce and joint venture teams, whose coordination has allowed it to meet long-term energy commitments.

Finally, the Gorgon Project is comprised of Chevron Australia with 47.3%, ExxonMobil and Shell with 25% each, together with Osaka Gas, MidOcean Energy and JERA, which complete the shareholding.
