Cadeler announces new agreement for the installation of turbines in a Polish wind farm

This wind farm will be operational in 2026, strengthening the company's involvement in Poland.

Cadeler announces the signing of a Vessel Booking Agreement ( VRA ) with Ocean Winds . This agreement provides for the installation of wind turbines at the BC-Wind offshore wind farm , located in the Baltic Sea, 23 km off the Polish coast. The contract has an estimated value of between 48 and 56 million euros and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2028.

The BC-Wind wind farm was developed by Ocean Winds , and will have a capacity of up to 500 MW, making it the company’s first project in Poland. In addition, the company will deploy one of its O-class vessels to transport and install approximately 30 wind turbines.

Poland has become a major player in the offshore wind market and we look forward to working again in the Baltic Sea to contribute to the development of offshore wind in the region.

In 2023, the company signed contracts with Equinor and Polenergia for the installation of turbines at the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms, with operations commencing in 2027. In addition, in collaboration with Ørsted and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna , it will install Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at the Baltica 2 wind farm, due to be completed in 2027.

Among the company’s most notable projects is Baltic Power, where it will install 76 Vestas 15 MW wind turbines, with a total capacity of 1.2 GW. This park will be operational in 2026, further strengthening Cadeler’s participation in the Polish wind sector.
