Oil company Bourbon Logistics has announced that it has won an integrated logistics contract in Namibia, in partnership with an oil industry player, whose name has not yet been revealed. This project will strengthen the company’s logistics services.
Obtaining a key contract for Bourbon Logistics
This project will be essential for a drilling campaign , and Bourbon will be responsible for providing a complete logistics solution, the first of its kind for the client in the region. In addition, one of the oil company’s main objectives is to strengthen the commercial side of the local supply chain.
The campaign will last six months, and involves comprehensive management including international transport of equipment from Houston, Singapore and Antwerp to Walvis Bay, Namibia. It also covers the management of logistics bases, maritime services, and the deployment of the vessels Bourbon Diamond, Ruby and Topaz. The execution will be supported by the technology of the “ Bourbon Logistics Suite ” software, ensuring a smooth, safe and efficient operation.
The Walvis Bay base of operations will strengthen the infrastructure and employ 50 workers, mostly Namibians, providing them with advanced training. Nicolas Chateau, Managing Director of Bourbon Logistics, underlined the company’s dedication to meeting the highest standards of safety and efficiency, once again demonstrating its ability to execute complex projects in the oil and gas sector.
