Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) of Bolivia invoiced a value of more than USD 611 million, for the sale of natural gas to Brazil, Argentina and the domestic market, between January and March 2023, reported the president of the state oil company, Armin Dorgathen .
According to a press release, under the current contractual conditions with Petrobras and other clients in the Federative Republic of Brazil, such as MTGAS, the commercialization of natural gas to the neighboring country allowed USD 383.45 million to be invoiced in the first quarter of this administration. .
“The nomination of Petrobras has evidenced a commercial situation in Brazil, due to the end-of-year festivities, the carnival festivities and, especially, because the thermal generators have not worked at full capacity, since the reservoirs are full for the rainy season,” Dorgathen explained.

Within the framework of the contract with the company Integración Energética Argentina SA (IEASA), the volume of energy exported to the neighboring country, allowed reaching a billed amount of USD 177.93 million, in the same period.
Similarly, from January to March 2023, consumption in the domestic market made it possible to cover the demand of the thermal generation sectors for electrical, residential, commercial, industrial, vehicular transportation, direct consumers, and other systems. The average volume made it possible to invoice an amount of USD 49.84 million.
