On November 22 , Blue Origin completed its 28th mission as part of the New Shepard program . This mission also marked the company’s ninth manned flight, carrying a diverse crew of astronauts and space tourists . With this new mission, the program has now carried a total of 47 people into space, three of whom have had the opportunity to fly twice.

Today’s crew included prominent members of the aerospace and science community, including Emily Calandrelli and Sharon Hagle, who along with her husband Marc Hagle, were flying for the second time. Also on the mission were Austin Litteral, James (JD) Russell and Henry (Hank) Wolfond.
These astronauts were part of a flight that reinforces the importance of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), and the motivation to inspire future generations of space explorers .
