Bila Solar begins manufacturing solar panels in Indianapolis

Singapore-based company Bila Solar has begun production of solar panels at its new plant in Indianapolis, Indiana, marking a key breakthrough for the company’s renewable energy renewable energy manufactured on U.S. soil.

Focus on domestic content and efficient technology

The first solar modules to leave the factory include double-glazing technology and an output of up to 550 W, meeting the “domestic content” criteria established by the U.S. government. This classification allows projects using these panels to access a 10% rebate on the Investment Tax Credit (ITC).

The Indianapolis facility symbolizes Bila Solar’s commitment to a reliable, localized supply chain, aligning with federal goals to reduce dependence on imported components. It also creates local jobs and establishes Indiana as a new solar hub in the Midwest.

Solar panels for new markets and applications

In addition to its conventional panels, Bila Solar also offers moduultralight modules ideal for curved roofs or structures with low load-bearing capacity, expanding the use of solar energy use of solar energy to sectors previously limited by structural constraints.

The start of operations takes place in a key political context, with federal incentives that stimulate the domestic production of clean technologies.
