Baker Hughes, recognized for its expertise in energy technology, will expand its support to bp at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant (LNG) plant in Tangguh, Indonesia. The contract includes the supply of spare parts, repair services and field engineering support for key turbomachinery, including heavy-duty gas turbines, steam turbines and compressors used in three LNG trains.
Tangguh LNG boosts operating efficiency in Indonesia
This seven-and-a-half-year agreement is considered strategic both to ensure operational efficiency and to support Indonesia’s energy objectives in the Asia-Pacific region. In line with local regulations, Baker Hughes will carry out this alliance together with PT Imeco Inter Sarana, its consortium partner in Indonesia, ensuring the participation of national players in the operation.
The contract also reflects Baker Hughes’ strategy to strengthen its presence in the LNG market through advanced asset maintenance services, aligning with the growing demand for reliable and efficient energy infrastructure in Asia.
