With the signing of a time charter contract (TCP) with SeaRiver Maritime, Avenir LNG remains firm in its international growth plan focused on the supply of LNG and bioLNG for shipping.

The time charter contract with bunker vessel

This new agreement provides for the multi-year charter of Avenir’s second 20,000 cubic meter liquefied natural gas bunker vessel under construction. The unit will enter operation in the first quarter of 2027, strengthening the company’s capacity to supply small-scale marine fuel at various strategic ports.

SeaRiver Maritime, responsible for ExxonMobil ‘s maritime logistics, will be in charge of operating this new unit under the TCP scheme. The collaboration strengthens the links between Avenir and one of the main global players in energy, allowing the company to take advantage of consolidated infrastructure and logistics networks.

This contract contributes to lowering the commercial risks of Avenir LNG’s newbuilding program, guaranteeing stable revenues over the long term. With five similar agreements signed in the last year, the company is advancing its business model based on long-term chartering with top-tier companies.

In this way, Avenir LNG and ExxonMobil are leveraging their commitment to low-emission fuels for shipping with this move. The supply capacity of bioLNG supply capacity is emerging as a viable and scalable solution to the industry’s environmental challenges.

Avenir LNG operates five vessels and has two additional vessels under construction. With the integration of this second 20,000 m³ bunker into SeaRiver Maritime’s service, the company positions itself as a benchmark in flexible LNG bunkering globally.
