Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has inaugurated Avaada Group ’s new solar module manufacturing facility in Noida, marking the expansion of renewable energy in India. At the same time, the foundation stone of a 5 GW integrated solar manufacturing unit has been laid in Greater Noida, establishing Uttar Pradesh as a key hub in the PV industry.
Solar module production in Greater Noida
Avaada ’s new Noida factory has a production capacity of 1.5 GW of solar PV modules and is designed to manufacture N-type bifacial TOPCon modules, which offer higher efficiency and durability. With M10 and G12 cell production capabilities, the plant produces 5,800 modules daily, ensuring a stable supply to the Indian energy sector.
This plant was built in just 3.5 months, an industry-record speed, and aligns with India’s vision of energy self-sufficiency under the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat ” and “ Make in India” initiatives. Each solar module undergoes rigorous quality checks, ensuring its reliability and efficiency.
As part of its expansion plan, Avaada has initiated the construction of a 5 GW integrated manufacturing facility in Greater Noida. This project will span over 50 acres in Ecotech-16 , and will obtain international certifications such as BIS, IEC and UL , ensuring compliance with the highest quality standards in the PV industry.
