The company AURA AERO has achieved the CS-23 certification for its INTEGRAL R , a two-seater training aircraft with aerobatic capabilities. This achievement represents the result of five years of hard work and the recognition of credibility as a complete aircraft manufacturer.
The INTEGRAL R certification process
This aircraft is the culmination of an extensive test campaign, which included 250 flight hours, more than 100 technical files and more than 12,000 pages produced during its certification process. The aircraft, which made its first flight in June 2020 at Toulouse-Francazal Airport, is the first aircraft in the INTEGRAL family manufactured by the French company.
“We are very proud to have obtained the CS-23 type certification for the INTEGRAL R. This is a reflection of our technical capability and the tireless work of the entire AURA AERO team. “said Jérémy Caussade, co-founder and president of the company.
The new INTEGRAL aircraft stands out for its wood-carbon structure and advanced onboard technology. Customers will be able to access detailed data on their flights, facilitating predictive maintenance to anticipate possible failures. In addition, the aircraft is the first in its category to feature an integral rescue parachute, which reinforces the safety of pilots during aerobatic maneuvers.
Collaboration with EASA and the future of aviation
AURA AERO has worked hand in hand with EASA ( European Aviation Safety Agency ) for years to achieve this certification, underlining its commitment to safety and sustainability in aviation. With the European certification in hand, it is now focused on obtaining FAA approval for the US market.
With certification in the hands of the European authorities, series production is underway, with plans to deliver up to 15 units in 2025. In the meantime, the company continues to advance the development of other models, such as the INTEGRAL S , which aims to obtain its certification in the second half of 2025.
