During his participation in the conference ASNT 2025 conference, Frédéric Laprise, Vice President of UT Technologies at Eddyfi Technologies, shared details about the innovations that are positioning the company as a leader in Non Destructive Testing for critical assets.
Eddyfi Technologies specializes in the development of advanced solutions combining software, instrumentation, sensors and ultrasonic technologies.
WeldXprt – an advanced solution for ultrasonic inspection
Among its most recent developments is WeldXprt, a tool created specifically for the inspection of welds in new pipelines. This solution responds directly to the needs of the sector, incorporating significant improvements in the process of configuration, calibration and automatic analysis through code, allowing inspections to be carried out in just 3 to 5 minutes per weld.
We listened to the needs of the industry on how the software should evolve to facilitate the process. So we invested many development hours in improving processing, configuration, ultrasound calibration and inspection execution.
Laprise noted.
WeldXprt represents a considerable advance in operational efficiency, automation and ease of field deployment.
In addition, the company is committed to scalability and customization, allowing its customers to integrate specific modules through APIs and software development kits, adapting the solutions to each industrial environment.
The artificial intelligence is also present in some of the company’s products of the company oriented to surface inspection in heat exchangers. They also collaborate with external partners to incorporate AI models in ultrasonic inspection applications.
Eddyfi Technologies’ participation in ASNT 2025 reinforces its commitment to developing smart, efficient and adaptable solutions that transform the global nondestructive inspection landscape.
