According to a report from the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR), biofuels have registered this year production volumes and foreign exchange earnings that allow us to forecast that this will be a record year for biodiesel and bioethanol in Argentina.
The entity indicates that exports until August from the Rosario biofuel complex reached 913 thousand tons, 32.4% more than in 2021, with an income of 1,363 million dollars.
According to the BCR report, “Biofuels represent a very important productive enclave in Argentina, since they not only play a fundamental role within the energy matrix of our country, but are also located within the agricultural production chains. contributing to the national value added by taking advantage of locally generated raw materials”.
According to the analysis, the biodiesel complex in the city of Rosario is “going through a recovery in the rate of shipments abroad, while the foreign currency received reflects a strong rise compared to previous years.” The report highlights that “biodiesel and bioethanol derived from soybeans and corn, respectively, are goods whose industries are linked in production chains, adding added value to national grains.”
