Ardian announces the acquisition of the remaining stake in two operational wind farms in Spain, previously co-owned by Mutua Madrileña. This action strengthens the Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund(ACEEF) as the sole owner of both assets, thus strengthening its presence in the Iberian market.
The total acquisition of wind farms
The assets are integrated into the local Agr-Am platform, Ardian’s operating pillar in Spain. This acquisition brings ACEEF’s Spanish portfolio to nearly 250 MW, integrating solar and wind power.
Since 2018, Ardian had held a majority position in the parks. Now, the recent purchase transaction from the Mutua Madrileña Group consolidates full ownership after seven years of fruitful collaboration.
We appreciate the strong collaboration with Mutua Madrileña to support these assets over the past seven years.
With full ownership now secured, we will continue to develop ACEEF’s industrial strategy, focused on long-term value creation and operational excellence.
We aim to further improve performance by leveraging OPTA, our proprietary data analytics tool designed to optimize the management of our renewable portfolio.
Federico Gotti Tedeschi, General Manager of Infrastructure of Ardian.
The ACEEF initiative was launched in 2022 and with proceeds of €1 billion at the close of July 2023, it is defined as the first open-ended clean infrastructure fund operating under the criteria of Article 9 of the European Union’s SFDR .
In addition, its technology focus is on mature assets such as solar power, solar energy solar, wind and hydroelectricwind and hydroelectric power, including developments such as biogas, storage and energy efficiency.
