Nauticus Robotics has strengthened its partnership with Florida Atlantic University (FAU) by signing a contract to conduct critical testing of the Aquanaut Mark 2, its autonomous underwater vehicle. These tests will take place in the waters near FAU’s Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering in Dania Beach, as well as in the depths of the Atlantic, allowing for full evaluation of the vehicle’s capabilities in different offshore environmentsius.
Efficient and economical testing
This agreement is notable for offering a potential 90% savings in testing costs by avoiding the use of more expensive ocean-going vessels. The tests will include both wired operations for real-time communication and wireless missions that simulate the tasks for which the Aquanaut was designed.
Nauticus Robotics is taking this opportunity to accelerate the development of the Aquanaut Mark 2, a vehicle that integrates the company’s advanced ToolKITT software. company’s advanced ToolKITT software.
The partnership with FAU facilitates a controlled environment for the development of the Aquanaut Mark 2 and positions Nauticus Robotics at the forefront of the transformation of subsea subsea operations. This vehicle promises to further develop the industry by moving from traditional wireline operations to greater autonomy, optimizing efficiency and reducing operating costs.
Aquanaut Mark 2 ready for the Gulf of Mexico
Nauticus Robotics is already looking ahead to future testing and development. Upon completion of current testing, the Aquanaut Mark 2 will move to the Gulf of Mexico to begin commercial operations. In the meantime, a second vehicle will take its place at FAU to continue to refine new technological capabilities.
Nauticus Robotics continues to focus on leading the underwater technology market, offering autonomous solutions that promise to change the way underwater operations are conducted underwater operationswith a focus on sustainability and efficiency.
