Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – September 24, 2025 — The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Dhahran Saudi Arabia Chapter, together with the Materials Engineering Association, and the Bahrain Society of Engineers, will host the 19th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition (MECC) from November 11–13, 2025, at Dhahran Expo in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
AMPP CEO Alan Thomas will deliver a keynote address highlighting the global importance of asset integrity and corrosion management. His participation underscores AMPP’s role as the leading international authority in advancing protective coatings, corrosion control, and materials performance.

Joining Thomas on the program are distinguished speakers shaping the future of science and industry. Ahmad Al-Khowaiter, Executive Vice President of Technology & Innovation at Aramco, will share perspectives on industrial AI and innovation. In another featured session, Prof. Sir Konstantin Novoselov, Nobel Laureate in Physics and Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor at the National University of Singapore, will discuss advanced materials and their transformative potential.
Since its inception in 1979, MECC has served as a vital biennial gathering for corrosion professionals worldwide. This year’s program will spotlight two major themes: Digital Transformation and Advanced Materials, providing delegates with a unique opportunity to explore how emerging technologies and next-generation materials are shaping the industry’s future.
