July 1 marked a crucial breakthrough for Aker BP with the successful transfer of the utility module for the Valhall PWP platform in Stavanger. This monumental structure, which upon completion will reach 4,800 tons and 55 meters in height, will play a vital role in extending the operating life of the iconic Valhall field in the North Sea.
Critical systems for safe operations
Moreover, this module houses systems that are essential for operation: from power supply and ventilation systems (HVAC) to water networks and technical infrastructure. All this is aimed at ensuring safe working conditions and offshore operations. stable offshore operations stable offshore operations in this strategic enclave on the Norwegian continental shelf.
It should be noted that this progress is not isolated. It is part of the ambitious Valhall PWP-Fenrisproject, designed to reinforce the production and wellhead infrastructure, significantly extending the hydrocarbon exploitation in the region and providing energy efficiently and sustainably, with a CO₂ emissions intensity that is benchmarked in the industry.
One team alliance accelerates progress in Valhall PWP
Aker BP has also executed this phase in close cooperation with Aker Solutions and Worley, consolidating a collaboration that the company describes as a “OneTeam culture”. This alliance has allowed us to move forward smoothly, optimizing deadlines and ensuring technical precision at every stage.
