PNDbotics presenta a Adam: el primer robot humanoide con pelvis biomimética

The PNDbotics team has taken an important step in the evolution of robots with the launch of Adam, a humanoid robot that combines original hardware design with extremely advanced motion capabilities.

Inspired by the human frame, Adam has been designed with a highly biomimetic pelvis, allowing him to perform movements with a precision never before seen in the field of robotics.

Adam robot moves to the rhythm of a human being

In August 2024, PNDbotics published on arXiv the updated version of an article entitled “Locomotion of a full-body humanoid robot with human reference.“, detailing the innovations that enable Adam to execute complex locomotion tasks.

Using control algorithms based on reinforcement learningAdam has achieved exceptional stability and adaptability, even in harsh environments. This breakthrough is crucial, as the combination of advanced physical design and optimized motion control gives Adam agility comparable to human performance.

Since its initial design in June 2023, the PNDbotics team has worked to refine various parts of Adam, such as the legs and feet, ensuring that its structure is robust enough to operate in a wide range of environments. In addition, the actuator’s modular architecture gives Adam unique flexibility, making it even more versatile in dynamic situations.
