As part of a strategic robotics alliance, 1X and NVIDIA have announced their collaboration to advance the creation of next-generation autonomous robots . The goal of this union is to combine NVIDIA’s artificial intelligence with 1X’s robotic prowess, enabling the development of humanoid robots capable of performing household tasks autonomously and efficiently.
This collaboration was highlighted at the GTC 2025 event, where 1X’s NEO Gamma robot demonstrated its ability to perform complex tasks, such as carrying antennas and washing dishes fully autonomously , thanks to the integration of NVIDIA’s AI architecture.
The technology behind collaboration
The 1X team has built a set of custom tools, including a data API and inference SDK, that enable NVIDIA to make real-time AI predictions using powerful GPUs. This enables continuous operation of the robots, with 5Hz prediction capability, improving the robot’s autonomy and accuracy on complex tasks .
The most recent advancement of this collaboration is NEO Gamma ‘s ability to interact in home environments. 1X has been testing the robot in its employees’ homes , a crucial step toward improving safety and human-robot interaction.

Preliminary results indicate that NEO can perform tasks such as washing dishes , moving objects precisely and without interfering with the surrounding space, which promises to transform home care.
A future with autonomous robots in our homes
Looking ahead, 1X and NVIDIA are committed to continuing their research to make humanoid robots smarter and able to learn from the environment in which they operate .
With advances in computer vision and imitation learning, these robots will be limited to performing simple tasks and will also be able to learn new skills, becoming fully autonomous smart home assistants.
