During the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2026, the organization awarded more than $15,000 in scholarships to students who participated in the Student Poster Session, a space designed to showcase technical projects related to corrosion and protective coatings. The initiative is part of AMPP’s efforts to foster the professional development of new talent in the industry.

The Student Poster Session serves as a platform where young researchers share their progress with the global technical community. In this edition, the awards included $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second, and $1,000 for third in the main categories. In addition, the best undergraduate student projects were recognized, with awards of up to $1,000.

A space to share technical knowledge

For participating, students also received free event registration, a one-year AMPP student membership, and access to travel funds and other professional development opportunities. These scholarships aim to boost careers focused on materials protection, a key field in sectors such as energy, transportation, and manufacturing.

Likewise, the activity was organized by AMPP’s Research Society Leadership Council (RSLC), highlighting its commitment to the future of corrosion engineering. This investment in young talent reflects AMPP’s active role in connecting generations and promoting innovative solutions to the industry’s challenges.
