In March 2026, Houston will once again become the epicenter of the global energy dialogue with CERAWeek 2026, hosted by S&P Global. Under the theme “Convergence and Competition: Energy, Technology and Geopolitics”, the conference promises to address the key challenges facing the industry in an international landscape that is increasingly interconnected, competitive, and technologically disruptive.

An event with more than four decades of influence

Since its founding in 1983 by Daniel Yergin, CERAWeek has evolved into the most important meeting point for leaders across the energy, industrial, technology, and financial sectors. Recognized as the “Davos of energy” by Financial Times and the “Super Bowl of the sector” according to Politico, the event brings together thousands of decision-makers each year to discuss the paths of the energy transition.

The 2026 edition is expected to see record participation, with more than 10,000 attendees from 89 countries, including 1,620 senior executives, 84 ministers and government officials, and more than 365 international media outlets.

Energy, AI, and geopolitics: CERAWeek 2026’s core themes

This year, the conference will focus on the interplay between technological advances, especially in artificial intelligence, and geopolitical shifts that directly affect energy security, critical infrastructure, and global supply chains. AI, data analytics, electric mobility, additive manufacturing, and connectivity will be part of the discussion as key tools in the race toward decarbonization.

CERAWeek 2026 will explore how these elements are transforming public-private collaboration models and redefining the future of the global energy system.

Four platforms that define the event

CERAWeek’s program is organized around four complementary pillars:

  • Executive Conference: a meeting point for business and political leaders to discuss global energy strategies, public policy, finance, and industrial innovation.
  • Innovation Agora: a dynamic space dedicated to exploring emerging technology solutions, from AI and blockchain to robotics and digitalization.
  • Partner programs: collaborative initiatives designed to build high-level networks and foster new knowledge communities.
  • Professional development: educational sessions that strengthen emerging leadership and talent development in the energy sector.

Influential voices on stage

Speakers who have shaped previous editions include figures such as Bill Gates, Mary Barra, Jennifer Granholm, John Kerry, Alan Greenspan, and Ben Bernanke, along with CEOs of companies such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, TotalEnergies, Amazon Web Services, and Ford Motor Company.

This year is expected to once again feature a strong lineup of global leaders who will bring key perspectives on investment, innovation, sustainability, and energy governance.

A key date on the energy calendar

With more than 40 years of history, CERAWeek continues to set the pace for the international energy debate. For Latin America and other developing regions, the event represents a strategic opportunity to bring local perspectives into the global conversation on energy security, a just transition, and technological development.

S&P Global’s commitment, through this platform, is to facilitate connections among governments, companies, and institutions to build tangible solutions to the energy challenges of the 21st century.
