The robot has completed more than 650 dives to depths of up to 6,000 metres, exploring the oceans for nearly 150 days a year.
It allows 3.5 volts of energy to be generated from human perspiration, enough to power wearable devices such as smart watches or medical sensors.
Construction of the system will begin in the first quarter of 2025, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2026.
