Autonomous inspection robot deployed on an oil platform

ANYBotics, the Swiss company, has remotely deployed its autonomous inspection robot, ANYmal X, on the Valhall oil platform, located in the North Sea 300 km from the coast. This unmanned deployment was possible thanks to the collaboration with the Norwegian company Aker BP and the software development firm Cognite.

France: Tidal turbine development laboratory opens

HydroQuest and the French Research Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea (Ifremer) have established a joint laboratory to advance the development of tidal turbines. With support from the National Research Agency, the purpose of the laboratory is to design analysis tools and provide support for the creation of tidal turbines adapted to marine conditions.

MSC will not transit the Suez Canal until the Red Sea is safe

The shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has declared that it is suspending the navigation of its ships through the Suez Canal until safety on the Red Sea route is guaranteed. This decision has led to the modification of several services on the East-West connection.
