The Swedish company Eco Wave Power (EWP) has reached an agreement with OREN Ordu Enerji for the possible construction of a wave energy installation of up to 77 MW in Ordu (Turkey). The plant, estimated at $150 million, would be Turkey’s first grid-connected wave power plant and, upon completion, the largest in the world.

The oil company, which considers photovoltaic solar energy “the fastest growing and lowest cost renewable source available today” classifies Spain as “one of the largest solar energy markets in Europe.”
