Description

The Spanish Society for Non-Destructive Testing (AEND) is the national reference organization for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in Spain. NDT is a strategic discipline that underpins industrial safety, quality assurance, and asset integrity across critical sectors without compromising materials or structures.

Established in 1988, AEND has consolidated its role as the institutional and technical benchmark for the Spanish NDT community. With more than three decades of experience, the Society operates as a platform for certification, technical development, standardization, and professional excellence, supported by strong national recognition and an expanding international presence.

Scope of Activity

Personnel Certification

AEND operates CERTIAEND, its accredited certification body, responsible for the certification of NDT personnel in accordance with UNE-EN ISO 9712. CERTIAEND is the only ENAC-accredited body in Spain authorized to certify NDT professionals under this standard, ensuring full compliance with accreditation requirements, impartiality, and international recognition.

Technical Knowledge and Publications

The Society promotes technical excellence through the publication of the AEND Journal, newsletters, and specialized materials. These initiatives contribute to the continuous development of the NDT discipline and reinforce technical competence across industries.

Congresses and Technical Events
