In the first part of this sequence of articles, reference is made to the accidents that have occurred since 2016, related explosions
with boilers. Reference was made to inspections to ensure reliability and mechanical integrity and to the standards and codes on which they could be based. In this second part, the needs for the different types of boilers are discerned:
Boilers are closed vessels with gas or electric burners to generate steam from liquid water. They are normally equipped with a pressure relief valve, if the boiler cannot withstand the pressure, the energy contained in the steam is instantly released causing extremely dangerous damage.
