José Ramón Iribarren – General Director of Siport21
He is a Naval and Ocean Engineer from the Higher Technical School of Naval Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
He was a Project Engineer and Director of the Port Experimentation Program at the Center for the Study of Ports and Coasts, CEDEX (Ministry of Public Works) and since 1999 he has been the General Director of Siport21.
He has specialized in studies on the dynamics of the moored ship and the maneuverability of ships in port, both in mathematical terms and in physical models; as well as in studies of agitation due to waves with physical models, maritime safety and risk analysis.
Iribarren is also a member of various PIANC Working Groups and Technical Committees of the ROM program (Maritime Works Recommendations) of Puertos del Estado.
Gonzalo Mera Truffini – Executive Manager for the Americas of MIS MARINE
Graduated from the National Nautical School, he sailed from Cadet to Captain in different types of ships. In addition to having a diploma in Port Management and Waterways, he carried out different activities within the Terminals until he was Head of Puerto La Plata of YPF, where he was also Manager of Marine Assurance and responsible for the Vetting and Maritime and Fluvial Emergencies areas.
Currently, he is Executive Manager for the Americas of MIS Marine and Vice President of SLOM (Latin American Society of Operators of Maritime Oil Terminals and Monobuoys), his focus being the promotion of best practices and the exchange of experiences in the maritime industry.
Rafael Rengifo – Midstream Director
Rafael Rengifo is a Venezuelan materials engineer with more than 30 years of experience in engineering, reliability, maintenance, inspection and mechanical integrity in the Midstream and Downstream sectors.
He is also an API-653 and 510 certified inspector and an active member of the API Storage Tanks Subcommittee and various API standards committees. Thanks to his leadership and recognition in the industry, he has been named Midstream President for the API Engineering and Inspection Summit 2024.
He currently works as Midstream Director at the BECHT company and has a decade of experience, holding positions as Chief Inspector, Corrosion Engineer and Reliability and Maintenance Engineer.
Francesco Solari – Host, CEO and President of Inspenet
Francesco Solari is a mechanical and metalworking engineer graduated from USB, with three decades of experience as a specialist inspector in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and coordination of plant shutdowns.
He is a member of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT / The American Society for Nondestructive Testing) and was awarded the International Quality Summit Award.
He currently serves as CEO of INSPENET LLC and INSPFALCA LATIN AMERICAN SERVICES.
Hilda Besson – Host, Inspenet CMO
