Users of the WhatsApp messaging application will now be able to make corrections to their sent messages, either to eliminate a mistake or to change the intention of what is written.
The feature will be available only in the first 15 minutes after a message is posted. “Just hold down the sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu. You have up to fifteen minutes to do it,” the application’s blog recommends.

Corrected messages will show the status “edited”, so recipients will be aware of the correction. However, they will not be able to see the history of the changes.
The statement specifies that the changes made by the user will be protected by end-to-end encryption, as is the case with all personal messages, multimedia files and calls.
The new feature has already started rolling out worldwide and will be available to all users in the coming weeks, the post details.
