Within the framework of the 50th anniversary celebration, which began in October 2022, the Julio Garavito Colombian School of Engineering University offers 110 Julio Garavito Armero Scholarships to students in grade 11 or already graduated, with excellent academic performance at school and whose economic conditions do not allow them to easily access high-quality higher education.
The academic programs that engineering students can aspire to are: Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Systems, Electronic, Electrical, Industrial, Statistics (the only program in the country); and to the Mathematics, Economics and Business Administration programs.
The Julio Garavito scholarship recipients will be selected from the group of candidates who prove they have obtained 65 points or more in the areas of mathematics, natural sciences, and critical reading on the Saber 11 test for Engineering and Mathematics programs, or 65 points or more in the areas of Mathematics, critical reading and social and civic matters in the Saber 11 test for Economics and Business Administration programs.
The scholarships that are awarded will cover 100% of the tuition fee for the first semester and in the following semesters it is maintained according to the student’s academic result.
Requirements to apply for the scholarships of the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito
The Julio Garavito Colombian School of Engineering extends a cordial invitation to the Rectors of the country, to apply up to five (5) candidates interested in the Julio Garavito Armero Scholarships – 50 years, who meet the following requirements:
– Average grades of grades 10 and 11 of the school:
With numerical rating system: 4.2 or higher on a scale of 1 to 5.
9.4 or higher on a scale of 1 to 10.
With alphanumeric rating system: A (Excellent).
In case of having a different qualification system, the results equivalent to the previous systems will be validated.
– Excellent qualification of conduct and discipline certified by the school.
– Delivery of the student’s motivation letter in accordance with the attached format.
– Very limited economic conditions to access high-quality higher education.
– Not having presented themselves as applicants for any School program in the regular process for the 2023-2 period.
Where to send the application?
The school must send its candidates before May 26, 2023, to the email becasjuliogaravito@escuelaing.edu.co and the following documents must be attached:
– Photocopy of the identity document of the candidate.
– Applicant’s email.
– Transcripts certified by the school of grades 10 and 11
– Certificate of conduct and discipline).
