The Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT) together with the Fulbright Commission of Ecuador opened a call to obtain scholarships at universities in the North American country.

Fulbright scholarships are a program that provides scholarships for master’s studies in the United States to individuals with demonstrated academic excellence. This program is co-financed between the organization and the Ecuadorian Government.

This year, Fulbright has held several informational meetings to guide those interested. The last session will be held on April 4 and finally on April 18 it closes permanently. The benefit will cover the following items: maintenance, fees, medical insurance and supplementary insurance, air tickets, study materials and an installation stipend.

The tuition scholarship depends on the student’s profile and the availability of funds from the universities to which each person decides to apply. Applicants must suggest two to five programs of interest to them. This does not mean that you have to pre-apply to these universities.

“If we select you, then we will review the options where there are more probabilities of admission and financing to apply later,” indicates the official portal.

Applicants must demonstrate their level of English through a TOEFL or IELTS exam.

This year’s call is to carry out studies from August/September 2024 because during that period of time applications are made to 4-5 universities with the selected people.
