In the next Tech Talking program this Wednesday, March 29, Eng. Francesco Solari, CEO of Inspenet, will be talking with Dr. Francisco Hernández-Valle, about innovation in long-range ultrasound inspections.

Francisco Hernández-Valle is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer, with a Ms. in Electronic Systems and Ph.D. in Ultrasounds. He is an innovative researcher, who has participated in various projects on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), ultrasonic techniques, electromagnetic acoustic transducers (EMAT) and eddy current transducers.

In the research projects where he has worked, he has been involved in all stages, from conception, experimental execution and validation. He is an expert in sensor design, with skills in developing software for signal processing and data analysis, knowledge of the use of finite element method simulations for the design and validation of experimental data. Currently, he is a Senior Application Expert at Eddyfi Technologies .

In this episode of the Tech Talking program, Ing. Hernández-Valle, describes the operation and benefits of long-range ultrasound, and the differences with respect to conventional and medium-range ultrasound. Long-range ultrasound is a very useful technology for the early detection of defects and damage in pipes and metal structures, since it can cover long distances and detect problems in areas that are difficult to access, which helps prevent failures and reduce risks.

The company Eddyfi Technologies, has taken a great leap in the technological development of guided waves with Sonyks TM, the first equipment with integrated data processing and analysis, an integrated touch screen, with software that provides fluid navigation with the operator, additionally, it is compatible with ring transducers from other manufacturers; is projected in the industrial market as the equipment that has redefined guided wave ultrasonic testing, with a state-of-the-art system, optimizing the workflow, increasing efficiency in terms of cost-time and achieving a greater inspection range.

We invite you to learn more about this interesting topic, on Wednesday, March 29 at 6:00 p.m. Colombia.
