In the next Tech Talking program this Wednesday, March 22, ing will be a guest. Patricia Salas, talking with Ing. Francesco Solari, CEO of Inspenet, on the management of buried pipelines through the use of the guided wave technique.

Patricia Salas, is an electronic engineer with an API 570 certification. Inspector specialized in inspection and evaluation of pipes under the END method of guided waves, with GUL level 2 certification. He also holds level 2 certifications in the disciplines of Ultrasound and Phased Array. He has more than 13 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, in America and Europe. Currently, he works in the company Guided Ultrasonics Ltd (GUL), as a Senior Electronic Engineer.

It describes the latest technologies developed by Guided Ultrasonics LTD, the advantages and variables to take into account when using this technique to determine the state of integrity of the assets.

Likewise, it details the most appropriate techniques to complement this inspection, location of the critical points to be evaluated to obtain effective information on the condition of the pipe, coatings that limit the application of this method, impact that the ground conditions can generate, among others. variables. Importance of the knowledge and experience of the technical operators, for the good handling of the software and the interpretation of the results.
