Imagine Lithium Inc. announces that its 2022 prospecting program has identified a new drill target located approximately 1.6 km northwest of the main Jackpot zone.
The Jackpot Lithium property, is located in the Lake Georgia area, approximately 140 km from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, is approximately 12 km by air from the TransCanada Highway (Hwy 11) and the main railway connecting to the port city of Nipigon, on Lake Superior.
Samples taken in the area have identified at least one spodumene-bearing mineralized granitic pegmatite over a strike length of approximately 500 m. Samples collected from the pegmatite returned Li 2 O values up to 2.72% Li 2 O.
A total of 15 random samples were taken from the area, where a spodumene-bearing pegmatite was detected along 500 m. The samples returned values containing lithium grades ranging from 0.01% to 2.72% Li 2 O.
Samples from a 240 m section of granite dike along strike generated an average of 1.17 Li 2 O% (n=11). It is estimated that the pegmatite could be up to 40 m wide. The company plans to complete prospecting and follow-up sampling work in the general vicinity of this pegmatite, as well as an exploration drilling campaign specifically targeted at the pegmatite.
The 2022 drilling campaign at Jackpot ended in early December, having drilled over 10,000m. The final results will be published once they are available.
