The IMCORRS 2022 Seminar in Villahermosa concludes with great success

This Wednesday night the Integrity Management and Corrosion Seminar IMCORRS 2022 concluded with great success, at the facilities of the Hotel Hyatt Regency Villahermosa, Mexico.

With a wide participation, this seminar organized by the AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance) Mexico Chapter, presented on its final day, interesting presentations such as: ‘Corrosion study and field results to analyze the effects of nitrogen generated in-situ. Myths and realities’, ‘Innovations in security of internal corrosion monitoring systems’, ‘The quantification of pipeline risk and its relationship with the safety of people: Social Risk’, among others.

In addition, in the Student Expo sessions, research papers, internships or degree theses were exhibited in Poster mode, which were evaluated by an IMCORRS technical committee. The three best theses received support from AMPP, through the EMERG Student Outreach Program, to attend the next AMPP Annual Conference.

Romer Gil, part of the technical evaluation committee and Senior Global Manager for Operations of AMPP, USA and Latam, took the opportunity to invite the AMPP Annual Conference to be held from March 19 to 23, 2023 in the city of Denver, Colorado . “So that they have the opportunity to participate in one of the largest conferences in the world in the area of corrosion, materials and surface protection. Come join the more than 6,000 members who participate in this conference every year,” Gil said.
