For their part, secondary sources such as the International Energy Agency or the Energy Intelligence firm report that Saudi Arabia’s production in April was 10,346,000 barrels per day, an increase of 1.24% or 127,000 barrels per day compared to March.

The difference between Saudi Arabia’s April production reports from primary (official) and secondary sources is 95,000 barrels per day.

Saudi Arabia’s production in April is below the level assigned by the organization for that month, which was 11 million barrels per day, so the breach is 5.08%. For May, OPEC assigned a production level for Saudi Arabia of 11.5 million barrels per day.

The OPEC report highlights that the production of its thirteen members in April averaged 28.65 million barrels per day, 153,000 barrels per day more than the previous month. Extraction increased mainly in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while it declined in Libya. Saudi Arabia’s crude oil production in April is equivalent to 36% of OPEC’s total.
