Cadeler‘s specialized division, Nexra, has signed a firm agreement to manage the operations and maintenance of two offshore wind farms in Taiwan. The contract, valued at more than 20 million euros, represents an important consolidation for the company in a market that increasingly demands technical precision in after-sales services.
Nexra’s strategy to strengthen offshore wind projects
This agreement is scheduled to start in March 2026, where the work will extend over a period of three to four months. For this mission, the company has designated the Wind Makera wind installation unit that stands out for its versatility.
It is clear that the creation of Nexra in 2025 responded to a real need in the sector, allowing the group’s fleet to remain active and productive even outside the initial major construction phases.
Under Mikkel Gleerup’s leadership, the organization has succeeded in making the maintenance segment account for one-fifth of its annual revenues. This is relevant because today’s turbines, with capacities between 10 and 15 MW, require a logistics infrastructure that only a few companies can offer.
Likewise, the integration of vessels such as the Wind Keeper or the Zaratan within the operational services portfolio allows for enviable operational flexibility. This contract does not lie solely in the technology of the vessel; instead, it is based on the ability to offer comprehensive support covering the entire life cycle of the projects.
