Transocean announced the award of contracts for two of its semi-submersible platforms in highly hostile environments off the coast of Norway. In total, the contracts total $184 million in firm portfolio.
The awarding of the semi-submersible platforms contract
The Transocean Encourage platform will receive an extension to complete seven wells. In addition, work, with an estimated duration of 365 days, is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2027, as a direct continuation of the current program. The extension adds approximately $152 million to the portfolio, excluding additional services.
In addition, the Transocean Enabler platform will run two single well options. The additional 70-day activity will add $32 million to the portfolio, keeping the platform operating until December 2027.
