The contract, which is in the range of US$750 million to US$1 billion, is for the Nasr-115 Expansion Project, part of the second phase of the field’s overall development. This phase aims to bring production capacity to 115,000 barrels per day by 2027, consolidating Al Nasr as a strategic point for sustainable energy growth in the United Arab Emirates.

McDermott will be responsible for the design, procurement, construction and installation of two new upper platforms, one collector tower, one jacket structure, a connecting bridge, as well as the implementation of piping and cable systems.a connecting bridge, as well as the implementation of piping and cable systems. In addition, modification work on abandoned infrastructure will be included, ensuring efficient integration with existing facilities in the field.

McDermott’s senior vice president for Offshore Middle East, Mike Sutherland, noted that this contract is a sign of ADNOC’s confidence in the company’s technical execution capabilities. The collaboration is part of ADNOC’s P5 program, aimed at optimizing offshore production through safe, sustainable solutions aligned with world-class standards.

With this contract, McDermott strengthens its position as a key player in the development of oil infrastructure in the Persian Gulf. The company, with a presence in more than 30 countries and a fleet specialized in marine construction, continues to consolidate its leadership in complex offshore oil and gas projects.

The award of the Nasr-115 Project underscores the strategic importance of EPCI engineering in ADNOC’s expansion plans. For McDermott, it represents the continuation of a decades-long track record in offshore services, reinforcing its role in the transition to a more efficient and robust energy infrastructure.
