In 2026, Chevron is projecting an investment of close to $10.5 billion in the United States, concentrating its efforts on projects that will strengthen the energy infrastructure infrastructure. This figure reflects a firm commitment to industrial development, job creation and the consolidation of national energy security.
Purposeful work in the Permian Basin
The Permian Basin, a vast region between Texas and New Mexico, is central to this strategy. There, thousands of workers, like Curt Colburn, production supervisor, bring to life operations that today deliver more than 1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
For Colburn, starting the day at 3:30 a.m. is part of a purposeful routine.“We’re here for more than just a paycheck,” he says, as he leads part of the energy production that powers industries, transportation and homes across the country.
Chevron reduces emissions and generates 850,000 jobs in the U.S.
Chevron is not only concentrating its efforts in the South. In Colorado, where it is also the largest energy producer, professionals like Nick Gonzalez oversee operations through digital technologies and integrated centers. There, production reaches 400,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, and innovation is reducing the operational footprint. The new tankless facilities, for example, achieved a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in 2024 compared to traditional models.
In addition to the technical impact, Chevron’s investment translates into economic dynamism. In 2023 alone, the company’s operations drove more than 850,000 jobs in the United States, with 630,000 in Texas and 145,000 in New Mexico. Since 2022, it has committed $44 billion to U.S. suppliers, supporting the development of local communities and strengthening domestic supply chains.
Strategic vision and responsible energy
Looking ahead, Chevron positions its strategy based on efficiency, sustainability and human talent. The combination of technology, labor commitment and long-term vision consolidates its role as the energy engine of the United States.
Real investment is needed to help keep this country going.

Its message summarizes Chevron’s purpose: to produce reliable, safe and responsible energy, at the service of the country’s development.
