4NE1 robot transforms industrial logistics together with SAP and BITZER

The humanoid robot 4NE1 executes logistics tasks in real time, connected to SAP EWM at the BITZER facility.

In a scenario where logistics efficiency is no longer a luxury, but a necessity, NEURA Robotics’ 4NE1 robot has achieved an unprecedented breakthrough by integrating with the SAP platform to manage real-time tasks in a real industrial environment. This collaboration, developed in conjunction with SAP and BITZER, marks a turning point in the cognitive automation applied to the supply chain.

Actual proof of concept in BITZER warehouse

The BITZER warehouse in Rottenburg, Germany, was the scene of this pilot test, where the 4NE1 robot executed picking tasks completely autonomously and synchronized with the SAP S/4HANA EWM (extended warehouse management) business processes.

Thanks to the SAP Business Technology Platform, the interaction between the robot and the system occurred in real time, allowing a dynamic response to changes in orders and operational needs.

Operational efficiency on demand

One of the main achievements of the project is the robot’s ability to operate continuously, 24 hours a day, complementing human personnel at times of high demand or during night shifts. With a single source of information connected to the SAP system, the robot can react almost instantaneously to new orders, modifications or cancellations, adapting to changes with agility.

This translates into:

  • Increased responsiveness
  • Reduction of manual errors
  • Operational scalability with no increase in headcount
  • Continuity of service even under pressure

A strategic alliance with a vision for the future

The project does not seek to replace humans, but to empower them, by combining cognitive robotics and intelligent systems with intelligent business planning systems. This synergy offers companies like BITZER a flexible, scalable infrastructure aligned with the demands of a global economy that requires constant adaptability.

European robotics with its own seal of approval

Since its founding in Germany in 2019, NEURA Robotics has focused its efforts on developing in-house technologies that integrate sensors, vision, audio and artificial intelligence into a single device. With the 4NE1 robot as a flagship and the Neuraverse concept as an ecosystem, the company is positioning itself as a leader in the next generation of industrial automation automation.

With the backing of partners like SAP and the validation of real cases like BITZER’s, the 4NE1 robot represents much more than a point solution, it symbolizes the beginning of a profound transformation in the way industries operate.
