Iberdrola EspaƱa has launched the “Espacio Instalador”, a technical center located at its campus in San AgustĆn de Guadalix, designed to train professionals in key technologies for the energy transition. This facility is presented as a meeting point for installer associations, professional training centers and manufacturers in the sector.
Installer Space: immersive and technological learning
The center is articulated around three different areas: air conditioning through aerothermal energy, charging infrastructure for vehicleslelectric vehicles y photovoltaic solar systems.. With state-of-the-art equipment and a constantly updated infrastructure, the objective is to respond to the growing need for qualified personnel in the electrification of the country.
In addition to face-to-face activities, the center offers an immersive digital version based on digital twins. This modality is already used by more than 260 vocational training centers throughout Spain, allowing students to complete their training cycles through virtual reality simulations.
Multisectoral participation and institutional support
The inauguration was attended by the CEO of Iberdrola Spain, Mario Ruiz-Tagle, authorities from the Government of the Community of Madrid and representatives from the municipal, business and educational sectors. Ruiz-Tagle emphasized that the center was created to unite manufacturers, developers and educators in the common goal of accelerating the energy transition and generating stable technical employment.
On the part of the regional administration, the impact of these initiatives on the competitiveness and sustainability of the Madrid economy was highlighted. Among the attendees were also leaders of associations such as AGREMIA and APIEM, who valued the commitment to practical training aligned with the demands of the sector.
Continuous training for an effective energy transition
The “Espacio Instalador” has the capacity to train 1,000 people per year in its classroom mode and up to 50,000 in digital format. The classes will be taught by trainers from industry associations and educational centers, strengthening the existing itineraries with practical content and real installation experiences.
With this initiative, Iberdrola Spain reinforces its role as an active agent in the process of electrification, focusing on training innovation and institutional collaboration to ensure an energy transition with qualified professionals throughout the country.
