CSV Normand Sentinel contracting
The contract will commence in early 2026 and provides for the provision of comprehensive services, including the CSV vessel, and the two fully operational work class ROVs. The systems will also be supplied along with specialized tools, technical personnel and survey capabilities, in collaboration with Omega Subsea.
The vessel was built in 2015, where the Normand Sentinel became a DP3-rated subsea construction unit, equipped with two active wave compensation cranes, central wells and an 1800 m² deck. In addition, its capacity to accommodate up to 130 people positions it as a strategic platform for complex projects in demanding marine environments.
The shipping company emphasized that this award consolidates its long-term strategy in the offshore market, enhancing its presence in highly technical operations. Although the commercial terms of the contract are confidential, the commitment reflects the industry’s sustained confidence in Solstad’s specialized fleet.
Omega Subsea’s involvement adds a technical component to the project, with expertise in the integration of remotely operated remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and(ROVs) and subsea technologies. This will enable the Normand Sentinel to execute missions in diverse locations globally, supporting critical subsea projects in energy, infrastructure and exploration.
