Strategic projection of the floating solar plant
The site of Les Îlots Blandin represents an example of how floating floating solar technology can reclaim former industrial sites and turn them into clean generation assets.
With this transaction, Velto Renewables consolidates its presence in the French market and expands its portfolio of wholly owned assets. In addition to the acquisition, the firm will manage the long-term operation of the floating farm, allowing it to fully integrate the operation and maintenance of the asset.

The handover is part of a framework agreement between Velto Renewables and Q ENERGY, which envisages future collaboration on multiple clean energy projects in Europe. This framework reinforces the connection between the two players, aligning their goals in decarbonization, sustainability and technology development.
