DeepOcean and Jana Marine have agreed on a strategic alliance that seeks to enhance offshore subsea services in the Middle East. This collaboration gives birth to JADE Subsea Services, a joint venture that will offer integrated subsea solutions to the offshore energy industry from Saudi Arabia.
The technological future of DeepOcean and Jana Marine vessels.
At the center of this operation will be the DP2 hybrid propulsion dive support vessel, named Jana 201, currently under construction in China. Designed to the technical specifications of regional oil majors, the vessel will operate under contract to JADE Subsea for at least five years, providing inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR), diving support and ROV operation capabilities.
While Jana Marine brings a robust fleet of 35 offshore vessels and in-depth local knowledge, DeepOcean contributes its expertise in subsea engineering, project management and specialized technology. This combination aims to position JADE Subsea as a relevant player in the regional market.
DeepOcean had initiated its expansion in the region with the acquisition of acquisition of Shelf Subsea and the opening of an office in Abu Dhabi. With the alliance, the company strengthens its operational base in the Persian Gulf. For its part, Jana Marine reinforces its commitment to the Saudi localization program and expands its operational capabilities with new integrated solutions.
The Jana 201 vessel, which is expected to be delivered in 2026, will feature a 100-ton crane, accommodation for 120 people, saturation diving systems and a lightweight ROV. All this positions it as a key asset to meet the challenges of the offshore environment in the Gulf.
Executives from both companies agree that this collaboration represents an opportunity to offer a competitive and complete portfolio of subsea services tailored to local needs.
